Most ILSes have a "catalog" function, some of these might be able to be used seperately from the ILS, some not. The ILS Futures page has links to those tools.
Mango/Solr/Lucene: FCLA is investigating the possibility of replacing Endeca with open source repository and indexing software.
Blacklight. Research project by University of Virginia, using Ruby on Rails, SOLR and Lucene.
VuFind. Developed by Villanova, using SOLR/Lucene.

XC. eXtensible Catalog Project, the XC Project Team at the University of Rochester, together with XC Partner Institutions, will develop the XC software, a set of open-source applications to provide libraries with an alternative way to reveal their collections to library users. The website is the main vehicle for distributing the open-source software once it is released in 2009.
