Aleph v.19
NEWS April 28, 2009:
The problem with Course Reserves has been fixed. We are on schedule for releasing the v19 Test databases and clients on Wednesday, April 29th and for the webinar on Thursday, April 30th at 2:00 pm. Our plan is to have a combination teleconference call and accessing the webinar software Dimdim. Next week we will send out the phone number to dial and the participant code. In addition you will need to access Dimdim through the invitation sent by email to the Project Coordinators. This is similar to what we have done with the monthly Project Coordinator's call. In the near future we hope to have the Elluminate software available for webinars.
For those not able to attend the Webinar on April 30th, we are also planning a repeat of the Webinar on Thursday May, 14th at 10:30 AM EST.

DOCUMENTATION
New V19 Documentation has been posted to our website. From the Library Services page, you can find all the chapters to the Staff User's Guide on Documentation V19. Of course we'll be adding information and documents to this page as we get farther along in the process.
Ex Libris has put a number of documents on their Documentation Portal concerning V.19. This portal requires a login. Contact your LMS Project Coordinator for the log on information.
RELEASE TIMETABLE AND OTHER INSTITUTION'S UPGRADE:
- Version 19 of Aleph was released in January 2008.
- A few North American libraries are testing this new version in the Spring of '08 (PALNI, MIT, Harvard, Minnesota, UC Davis, West Indies, and Univ. of Buffalo).
- The PALNI consortium, University of Buffalo, and Harvard went live in July or August of 2008.
- At ELUNA the sites working on V19 said that the upgrade process was fairly smooth, like the V17 to V18 upgrade.
